International Desk: A car attack at the gate of the historic Al Haram Mosque in Mecca. It is reported that the attacker tried to enter the mosque through the gate number 69. The London-based Middle East Eye reported that a man rammed his car into the gate of the Al Haram Mosque late on Friday.
However, no one was injured in the incident. The accused driver has been arrested by the security forces. Sultan al-Dosari, a spokesman for the Makkah administration, said security officials came to know about it around 10:30 pm local time that a car had crashed at the entrance to Makkah's Grand Mosque.
He said the car suddenly hit the road and hit hard while speeding along on the south side of the Grand Mosque. Fortunately, no one was injured. According to the Saudi state news agency SPA, the driver was a Saudi national and his condition was critical.
