Announcement of Bus-truck Closure

Staff Correspondent: Bus and truck owners and workers have announced the closure of public transport and freight vehicles due to an increase in diesel prices. It is learned that the government has increased the price by Tk 15 per liter.

Meanwhile, the owners and workers do not want to run public transport and goods vehicles by buying fuel at higher prices. They have decided to close these transports indefinitely from 6 am on Friday (November 4).

Bangladesh Truck-Covered Van Owners Association General Secretary Hossain Md. Majumder said the government has increased the price of fuel oil. Owner workers across the country could not accept this decision. Therefore, public transport and freight vehicles will be closed from Friday morning (November 4) indefinitely.

Enayet Ullah, general secretary of the Dhaka Road Transport Owners 'Association, said bus owners' losses would have to be multiplied if bus fares did not increase due to rising oil prices.
