Bangladesh concern on Venezuela issue !

International Desk

Bangladesh has expressed concern over the latest developments in Venezuela, joining international voices reacting to the unfolding situation and reiterating its commitment to the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law.

In a press release issued on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Bangladesh was closely observing the situation in Venezuela and underscored the importance of resolving disputes through peaceful means.

The statement emphasised that diplomacy and dialogue should remain the preferred path for addressing conflicts between states.

Dhaka also reaffirmed its firm adherence to the core principles of the UN Charter, including respect for sovereignty, international law and peaceful coexistence.

Global reactions have been divided following recent events in Venezuela, with world leaders offering a mix of condemnation and support in response to the United States’ actions involving Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

According to international reports, Maduro and his wife were taken into custody by US forces after a large-scale strike in Venezuela on Saturday and were subsequently removed from the country.

The couple has been indicted on drug-related charges in New York, further intensifying international debate over the incident.
